Recently, all eight gas turbines of SEPCOIII Taiba EPC Project and Qassim EPC Project in Saudi Arabia have successfully passed the reliability operation test with high standards, and all operating indicators meet contractual requirements.

Located in western Saudi Arabia, the Taiba EPC Project involves a newly built 1,800 MW combined-cycle power plant equipped with H-class gas turbines, adopting a configuration of one three-on-one combined-cycle unit plus one single-cycle gas turbine. Upon completion, the project will deliver ample power supply to Medina and surrounding areas and accelerate the delivery of Saudi Arabia’s energy transition goals.

Situated in central Saudi Arabia, the Qassim EPC Project is another new 1,800 MW combined-cycle power plant outfitted with H-class gas turbines, featuring the same layout of one three-on-one combined-cycle unit and one single-cycle gas turbine. Designed with high efficiency and environmental protection as core concepts, the project will further strengthen the safety of Saudi Arabia’s power grid and guarantee stable power supply.

The full completion of reliability tests for the eight gas turbines across the two projects marks a critical milestone in the construction of the two gas-fired power stations. It fully demonstrates the company’s outstanding comprehensive delivery capacity underpinned by scientific coordination, efficient cross-team collaboration and refined construction management.
