On June 30, Unit 1 of the CNOOC Shenzhen Power Plant Upgrading Project undertaken by SEPCOIII successfully completed its 168-hour full-load trial operation, marking a landmark breakthrough in the project construction.

The CNOOC Shenzhen Power Plant Upgrading Project involves the construction of a new 2×530 MW gas-steam combined cycle power station. It is a key project specified in the 14th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development of Guangdong Province, a critical power project under Shenzhen's 14th Five-Year Plan, and a major municipal project of Shenzhen in 2024. Upon commissioning, the plant will generate nearly 4 billion kWh of electricity per year and contribute an annual output value of nearly 3 billion yuan to Shenzhen.
