At 00:30 on February 12, the first synchronization to the power grid of Unit 2 of the Jiangxi Shangrao Project was successfully completed at one time. All parameters of the steam turbine and generator were excellent, and all systems operated stably, marking the successful achievement of another major milestone in the project construction.

To ensure the successful grid connection at one time, the Project Department made overall coordination among all disciplines and construction units with 24-hour on-duty arrangements. All staff worked with one heart and one mind, cooperated closely, and strictly controlled key links such as equipment commissioning, system verification and operation monitoring, with full-process responsibility implementation and closed-loop management and control. Previously, the project team had overcome difficulties and fought continuously to successfully complete the steam turbine rolling test, laying a solid foundation for the safe and stable grid connection of the unit. The successful grid connection of Unit 2 marks that the unit has officially entered the load test stage.

This project is located in Chating Town, Guangxin District, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. The current phase of construction involves a new generation of domestically leading 2×1000-megawatt ultra-supercritical double-reheat clean and efficient smart coal-fired power plant. It will also build flue gas desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal facilities simultaneously. Once operational, it will generate 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, playing a due role in promoting the revolution of energy production and consumption and ensuring national energy security.
