Recently, the project teams of SEPCOIII for the Qasim and Taibah projects in Saudi Arabia efficiently accomplished three key milestones—power back‑feeding, grid‑connection and full‑load operation of four gas turbine units (GT11 and GT12)—within just seven days. Their solid achievements demonstrate the Company’s strong delivery capacity and inject fresh momentum into the high‑quality development of its overseas business. Located in central Saudi Arabia, the Qasim EPC Project involves the construction of a new 1,800‑MW combined‑cycle power plant adopting H‑class gas turbines, featuring one three‑on‑one combined‑cycle unit plus one single‑cycle gas turbine unit. Designed with high efficiency and environmental protection as core concepts, the project will further meet safety requirements of Saudi Arabia’s power system and ensure reliable power supply. Situated in western Saudi Arabia, the Taibah EPC Project is another new 1,800‑MW combined‑cycle power plant equipped with H‑class gas turbines, adopting the same configuration of one three‑on‑one combined‑cycle unit plus one single‑cycle gas turbine unit. Upon completion, it will provide sufficient power supply for Medina and surrounding areas, accelerating the delivery of Saudi Arabia’s energy transition goals.
