On February 19th, Saudi time, the performance test of Rabigh 4 IWP EPC project was successfully completed.

The performance test was launched precisely at 1 p.m. on February 18th. To ensure the test was efficient and accurate, the project team made thorough plans and scientific arrangements in advance, actively coordinated resources from the owner, the consortium, and other parties, and optimized the test process, resource allocation, and emergency response plans, ensuring the test was ultimately completed successfully.

Rabigh 4 IWP EPC project is designed to produce 600,000 cubic meters of fresh water per day. The actual power consumption per cubic meter of water during the test operation was 2.712 kWh/m³. Considering the power generation from the photovoltaic area, the comprehensive power consumption per cubic meter of water further decreased to 2.659 kWh/m³. This outstanding energy efficiency not only significantly exceeded the contractual standards but also successfully set a new global record for the lowest power consumption in seawater desalination projects. It adds another remarkable achievement to the company’s technological exploration and green practices in large-scale seawater desalination projects and sets a new performance benchmark and technical example for the global market.
