Recently, the list of award-winning projects and recipients for the 21st "Zhan Tianyou Award" was announced. SEPCOIII, through its EPC contract model, earned this prestigious accolade with its Rabigh Phase III Seawater Desalination Project in Saudi Arabia, marking the first seawater desalination project to be recognized since the award's inception.

Rabigh Phase III is the first large-scale overseas desalination project undertaken by a Chinese enterprise and successfully set a Guinness World Record by producing 600,000 cubic meters of fresh water daily. It stands as the largest operational reverse osmosis seawater desalination facility worldwide. Utilizing advanced reverse osmosis technology, the project boasts low energy consumption, high efficiency, and superior water quality, significantly advancing the technological upgrade of the seawater desalination industrial chain while yielding remarkable economic and social benefits. This project has earned multiple accolades, including the National Quality Engineering Gold Award for 2022-2023, the 2022 Global Water Awards—Best Desalination Plant of the Year, and the 2022 Muse Design Gold Award.
