Recently, SEPCOIII’s Kenya Geothermal Power Plant EPC Project achieved a significant milestone as Unit 3 obtained both the Completion and Operational Acceptance Certificates. This accomplishment marks the successful completion of the core construction tasks for the unit’s upgrading and renovation, and represents a key phase victory in delivering the project with high quality. Thanks to the world-renowned Great Rift Valley in East Africa, Kenya boasts abundant geothermal resources, with an estimated power generation potential exceeding 10,000 MW. The Kenya Geothermal Power Plant EPC Project takes full advantage of this resource by upgrading and modernizing an existing power plant. Located within Hell's Gate National Park in Naivasha, Nakuru County, the project has been implemented to enhance unit output while maintaining the same steam supply, thereby increasing energy utilization efficiency. This innovative approach not only reduces project costs but also minimizes resource consumption and waste generation. The project team has consistently adhered to high standards and strict requirements throughout construction. By focusing on key milestones and critical tasks, they efficiently advanced work such as equipment installation, system commissioning, and performance testing. Through meticulous construction planning and rigorous process management, the team ensured that the renovation of Unit 3 was executed in an orderly and efficient manner, reflecting a solid, precise, and pragmatic working ethos. The attainment of the Completion and Operational Acceptance Certificates, from finishing the construction to completing operational evaluations, is a formal recognition of the project's construction quality, commissioning results, and contract performance. Additionally, it highlights the project team's dedication, professionalism, and commitment to overcoming challenges—demonstrating their strong sense of responsibility in achieving this milestone. |
