On August 20 local time, the Company successfully signed the EPC contract for the 1,700 MW Misfah Combined Cycle Power Plant Project in Oman, marking another significant breakthrough for the Company in Oman’s high-end power engineering market.

As one of the key large-scale gas-fired combined cycle power projects promoted by the Omani government, the Misfah CCGT EPC Project aims to further enhance efficient and cleaner gas-fired power generation capacity and provide flexible peak-shaving capability following the integration of renewable energy projects, thereby ensuring stable grid operation and meeting the country’s growing electricity demand. Located in the Muscat area, the capital region of Oman, the Misfah Power Plant is an important part of Oman’s main interconnected power system. Upon completion, the project will further strengthen the security and reliability of power supply in the Muscat area and contribute to optimizing Oman’s energy mix and enhancing the safe and stable operation of its power system.

The successful signing of the project represents another important achievement in the Company’s continued development of the Oman and broader Middle East high-end power markets, further strengthening its market position and brand influence in the large-scale gas-fired power generation sector. Going forward, the Company will fully leverage its technical expertise, project management capabilities and proven delivery experience in large-scale gas-fired power projects to advance the project with high quality, contributing to the optimization of Oman’s energy mix, the security of its power supply, and sustainable economic and social development, while making further contributions to the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
