On December 22 (local time), all four gas booster compressor motors at The Saudi Taiba EPC Project successfully completed continuous trial runs at the first attempt, marking the smooth achievement of another important project milestone. Each motor involved in this trial run has a rated power of 9,550 kW, making it one of the highest-capacity and most technically demanding motors in the plant. As a key power source of the gas system, the gas booster compressor motors are directly related to the stable supply of fuel gas and are critical to ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the gas turbines. To ensure the smooth execution of the trial run, the project team coordinated multiple disciplines, carried out advance planning and meticulous preparation, and strictly implemented all technical and safety measures. Repeated inspections were conducted, including equipment standalone checks, motor and cable insulation tests, energization inspections, and secondary circuit checks, creating comprehensive conditions for the trial run. During the trial run, the equipment operated smoothly, and all parameters met the design requirements. The successful trial run of the gas booster compressor motors provides strong support for the subsequent commissioning of the gas booster compressor system and the smooth ignition and startup of the gas turbines.
