On October 21st, with the precise positioning of the last heat absorber tube screen, it marked the successful completion of another key milestone of the Powerchina Ruoqiang Central Solar Power EPC Project. The heat absorber as a whole adopts an advanced modular design. The core tube bundle is made of Inconel625 nickel-based alloy, and the surface of the tube screen is sprayed with a special coating for high heat absorption rate, which can significantly improve the energy conversion efficiency. However, the "high-precision and sophisticated" design also brings extremely high construction challenges: the wall thickness of each pipe of the tube screen is only 1.4mm, and any slight mistake during hoisting may cause deformation and damage. Moreover, strong winds and gusts occur frequently in the project site. Coupled with the 219.7 meters high positioning height of the heat absorber, it poses a dual test for installation and safety. To ensure the smooth progress of the heat absorber hoisting work, the project team made comprehensive overall planning and meticulous management. During the construction period, through formulating special hoisting plans, designing dedicated hoisting tools, strengthening on-site coordination and dispatching, and formulating wind prevention emergency plans and other all-round management measures, they successfully completed the hoisting work of 20 sets of heat absorber tube screens.
