June marks the 25th National Work Safety Month nationwide, themed Everyone Prioritizes Safety, All Master Emergency Response – Identify and Rectify Hidden Risks. On June 3, the Company held the launching ceremony for the 2026 Work Safety Month at the Xintai Project Department of Shandong Energy. Zhao Qiming, Chairman of the Company, attended the ceremony and delivered a mobilization speech. Wang Feng, and Qian Guangyan, Deputy Chief Engineer of Shandong Energy Power Group Xintai Power Generation Co., Ltd., together with chief supervisors from on-site supervision firms and project managers of general contractors, were present and addressed the event. Kong Lingfeng, Deputy General Manager, presided over the launching ceremony. Zhao Qiming stressed that the current work safety situation remains severe and complicated. Leading cadres at all levels of the Company must raise their political stance, regard sound work safety management as an important measure to uphold and implement a correct view on performance achievements, adhere to the principle of Putting People and Lives First, and resolutely hold the bottom line against safety accidents. He pointed out that all departments and subsidiaries shall conduct comprehensive and systematic planning, formulate scientific activity plans, and roll out a full array of events including safety open classes, safety warning education, and the Safety Promotion & Consultation Day to help all staff firmly establish awareness of the red line for work safety. Relevant teams shall thoroughly publicize and interpret the criteria for identifying major potential accident hazards, conduct in-depth inspections of various hidden risks, and deliver tangible improvements in hazard rectification efficiency. Focusing on the full vertical rollout of safety management systems down to subcontractors and frontline workers as well as mandatory safety knowledge for all employees, the Company will organize experiential safety training, personal protective equipment operation drills and emergency escape exercises to ensure safety outreach reaches every grassroots work site. Zhao Qiming required all entities to take the Work Safety Month as an opportunity to rigorously enforce the Ten Mandatory Measures for Work Safety. Efforts shall be stepped up on grassroots management including safety review of manpower, machinery, materials, methodology and working environment, grid-based work safety administration and team-level safety development. Strict control shall be imposed over high-risk projects and operating procedures to guarantee full implementation of risk prevention measures. The Company will steadily advance the Three-Year Campaign to Address Root Causes of Safety Hazards and the Annual Campaign for Safety & Quality Improvement of Power Construction Projects, alongside comprehensive flood control and flood prevention work to sustain stable overall work safety performance. In view of the grave non-traditional security risks overseas, all oversea projects and overseas offices shall earnestly fulfill their primary responsibilities for overseas social security, stay highly vigilant at all times, dynamically analyze and assess non-traditional security risks, refine emergency response plans, and conduct regular combat-oriented emergency drills. Multiple approaches will be adopted to reinforce the security shield and fully safeguard the life and property of overseas staff as well as the Company’s legitimate overseas interests. The Company’s Safety, Environmental Protection Department briefed participants on the 2026 Work Safety Month implementation plan, with the Xintai Project Department of Shandong Energy delivering a statement as the representative of operational units. The ceremony proceeded with the flag-awarding for the Pioneer Safety Team and an all-staff safety oath-taking session, followed by signature commitments on the Work Safety Month themed banner by all attendees. In line with requirements from the national work safety video conference and the Group’s work safety deployment, Zhao Qiming led an on-site safety inspection of the project and put forward targeted work safety requirements during the event. A total of 120 people, including relevant staff from the Company’s headquarters, management personnel of the Xintai Project and subcontract construction workers, attended the launching ceremony. |
