At 16:49 on May 11, Lumut Balai Unit 2 Geothermal FCRS and Power Plant EPC Project successfully completed the first-time back energization of both sides of the step-up substations and the main transformer. This milestone marks a significant phase in project construction and lays a solid foundation for subsequent system commissioning and grid connection. To ensure the safe and efficient execution of the back energization, the project team carried out comprehensive planning in advance, with careful organization and thorough preparation. All disciplines worked closely together to steadily advance the preparatory work. In addition to finalizing tail-end tasks and conducting detailed equipment checks, the team completed all necessary certifications ahead of time and actively coordinated with Indonesia’s national grid personnel to align grid dispatching and switching operations with the project schedule. During the energization process, all personnel strictly adhered to operating procedures, monitored equipment status throughout the entire operation, and ensured safe, precise, and stable implementation. The energization proceeded smoothly, with all equipment operating in optimal condition. The successful completion of first-time back energization not only affirms the project team’s meticulous management and efficient execution but also provides strong support for the next stages of system commissioning, unit startup, and early grid connection. |
